Sorry for the bad title but the father of Rubina Ali (Slumdog Millionaire) reportedly tried to sell his daughter over the weekend. The mother and even Rubina herself are denying this but his excuse is that it would be impolite to turn down offers from strangers. I guess asking to buy another man's daughter is not though. Also reported was that her uncle tried to up the price (originally $75,000) because she was special, an Oscar child.
I liked the movie and thought the kids provided some of the best acting so it's kinda sad that this happened.
