Being the eldest of 4 with two siblings under 11 I happen to not hate kids. I do know that there are some people (read: selfish) who absolutely can not stand kids. I don't know if this is from years of verbal reminders of their hopes and dreams being crushed or what but it's not my problem. Being around kids so much has made me think that kids doing "adult activities" is always a good way to make me laugh. I do NOT mean in the way of dressing kids up in funny outfits like people do with their cats. I mean along the lines of being a young kid and teaching your younger sibling to swear, so I've heard not done.
